Hello, I'm Kris Manchester, Global Executive Creative Director and Partner at Sid Lee. I don't make ads because the world doesn't need another TV ad, pre-roll distraction or digital banner trying to hard-sell them on a product they don't need. Instead, I work with brands to re-imagine what they can be and how they can be a part of culture. It's a loftier goal, but one in which the end results have exponential impacts on brand's future success. It's an approach that over the past 25 years has redefined Adidas, launched Red Bull into Canada, shaped Cirque du Soleil's image, disrupted the outdoor market with The North Face, and shook the internet with POW. Along the way, the work won all those awards you'd expect to see on a resume, but awards were never the goal of the work. The true goal was to impact and shape culture through brands, creating a conversation with consumers. Outside of the office, I've co-directed a full length theatrical documentary about Georges St-Pierre, exhibited photography at Art Basel, and work on MASSIVEart's board of directors.
